Position Description:

DCIS has an opening for a GIS Architect/Database Administrator. This senior level GIS architect/DBA will be responsible for coordinating and participating in all facets of the counties GIS projects.

The position responsibilities include the design, development, configuration, testing and implementation of geospatial solutions. To include support for: production, maintenance, upgrades, quality assurance and compliance within established department project standards. The candidate will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress. Author technical analyses and technical designs, chart the counties GIS path based on ESRI driven product direction, Perform task level assignments and supervision for other GIS county employees. Support our development, QA and Production environments by participating in test plan reviews, attending triage meetings and providing solution fixes. Work and collaborate with Project Managers and Project Sponsors to ensure business requirements, functional specifications, and mockups, are complete and consistent.

Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive information technology experience and responsibility developing and maintaining medium to large-scale applications. 5+ years of direct experience working with enterprise GIS, ArcGIS Online and/or Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS for Server, GIS Desktop and system administration. Coordinate the GIS team activities including development, testing, and debugging process for the GIS development team. Documented ability to provide Mid-level Database administration support for our GIS specific databases which primarily are running on Oracle 11.2 and 12.1 releases. Proven track record of delivering quality, mission critical, enterprise systems. Strong English communication skills are a must as this individual will be in regular contact with business-side and internal staff and involved in requirement gathering, delivery of estimates, proposals and project status and production support.

Technical skills /abilities:
Mid to upper-level abilities in ESRI Local Government Data model usage.
Expert level abilities in ESRI ArcSde v. 10.3+, ArcGis Server and accompanying desktop tools, ArcGis Online design and administration.
Strong working knowledge of Relational Database design to include efficiencies in Transaction processing systems and Decision support system structures.
Mid level Background and abilities regarding Business Process re-engineering and modeling.
Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and IIS platform, Sql Server 2008/2012 Database Administration, and Oracle 11/12 Database Administration.
