Position Description:

The Baldwin Group, Inc. (TBG), seeks a talented software developer to join our development team helping to build innovative, Web-based applications. This position will support our contract with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office for Coastal Management (OCM) in Charleston, South Carolina. We are looking for someone who will work closely with project teams in a casual and creative environment to design and develop Web-based applications that communicate complex information in a simple, informative way. If you believe you have exceptional web development skills, enjoy working with technical and non-technical people in a collaborative team environment, and have a strong desire to apply the latest technologies to create innovative applications that address real-world environmental issues, then this job is for you.

In This Position You Will
● Interact with project teams to understand requirements and translate them into innovative solutions
● Work closely with a team of talented developers to design, develop, test, deploy, and support web-based applications, following an industry standard product development process in cutting-edge technologies
● Participate in research, planning, and brainstorming with development and project teams
● Participate as a member of a technical team that proactively plans the implementation of enterprise systems across a wide platform of technologies

Requirements
● Located in Charleston, South Carolina or able to relocate
● Bachelorís degree in computer science or related field and five-plus years of experience in software development, or Masterís degree in computer science and three-plus years of experience, or highly demonstrable experience with frontend web development using live projects and opensource code

Skills
● Proficient in programming using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, and demonstrable experience with heavy frontend web applications
● Experience in using frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, and Bootstrap
● Experience with tools like Grunt, Gulp, Yeoman, Bower, Karma, Jasmine/Mocha, LESS/SASS
● Experience in developing interactive data visualization tools for web using JSON Rest APIs

Good to have, but not required
● Experience with web mapping APIs like OpenLayers, Leaflet3
● Experience with datavisualization APIs like D3, Highcharts etc.
● Experience with any static website generators like Middleman ,Jekyll, Hugo, Hexo etc
● Demonstrable OpenSource contributions on sites like GitHub
