Title: GEOINT Technical Lead
Location: St Louis, MO
Optimal GEO is searching for a GEOINT Technical Lead to serve as a lead on GIS and GEOINT related projects as well as perform team building and management. This position will often serve on the front end of projects establishing a technical plan in executing a project as well as optimizing and automating geospatial processes as needed. This position will also serve as a production management role. The position requires excellent communication and planning skills as well as the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
Expert level grasp of GIS software including Esri and/or Intergraph
Knowledge of GEOINT standards and processes
Knowledge of spatial database design and administration
Must be U.S. Citizen
At least 3 years’ experience in the geospatial field
Experience with GEOINT
Experience managing geospatial production
Experience troubleshooting software configuration
Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL
Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science or related field plus 3 years’ experience in the geospatial field
Perform lead level professional functions related to GIS design, development, team building and management. May be required to intermittently assist with LiDAR and Orthophotography surge projects.
