Position: GIS Developer/Administrator
RoyOMartin Corporate Headquarters—Alexandria, LA

Job Summary: This position provides geographic information systems (GIS) support to the business-process manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing and implementing ArcSDE feature datasets and feature classes; creating maintenance procedures for ArcSDE tuning and performance monitoring; troubleshooting ArcSDE for connectivity, access, performance, and other issues; supporting versioning, compression, replication, and indexes; developing procedures for applying service packs and upgrades for ESRI product suite; working with the SQL Server DBA to design and configure the database; maintaining ArcGIS Server 10.4x; supporting 10.4x ArcGIS desktop, developing models using ModelBuilder and Python scripts; and developing, implementing, and supporting web-based GIS applications with ASP.NET, c# and JavaScript API.

Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in GIS development. At minimum, he/she should possess a university degree in computer science (or a related discipline). Advanced GIS-related degree is preferable. Candidate should possess knowledge and skills in many or all of these areas:

• GIS web editing/mapping applications
• Esri Portal / ArcGIS Online/Web App Builder
• Performance-tuning SDE databases
• Editing scenarios in a multiuser geodatabase
• ArcGIS server installation, configuration, and development
• Python scripting
• .NET
• ESRI JavaScript API
• ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Mobile
• SQL Server management

He/she must possess good organizational and technical skills and have the ability to effectively and assertively communicate with customers, both external and internal. The ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks calmly, accurately, and efficiently is necessary. A high attentiveness to detail is required. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently. Critical is the willingness to learn about RoyOMartin’s functions with the goal of more accurately and efficiently performing job functions.
