We are currently seeking an Intermediate-Level GIS Analyst to work on-site in Philadelphia, PA. The Intermediate GIS Analyst will be providing various levels of technical geospatial support, preferably from an environmental/ecological perspective. This position requires the candidate to possess a broad understanding of the ESRI suite of products, most notably ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox) and an understanding of GIS applications for both desktop and server platforms. Sound knowledge of the various tools and extensions within ArcMap (3D Analysts, Model Builder, Spatial Analyst), as well as, but not limited to ArcGIS Pro, ArcReader, and other geospatial analysis and cartographic tools. In addition, knowledge of Python, HTML, JavaScript and FlexViewer technologies or other geospatial web programming skills are highly desirable. The candidate will also be responsible for the operation of and maintenance of GPS units and digital photographic processing procedures.

Summary of responsibilities:

The candidate will also be responsible for the operation of and maintenance of GPS units and digital photographic processing procedures. Responsibilities include the following:
Creation of high-quality cartographic and geospatial analysis products
Geospatial data acquisition and data development
Geospatial application development and web-mapping tool generation
Processing geospatial data from native formats
GIS technical and cartographic assistance and technical support for GIS software and hardware
Maintaining and creating spatial databases in a multitude of platforms
General GIS technology research and development
Operation of and maintenance of GPS units and digital photographic processing procedures
Technical geospatial knowledge and skill-set should also include web-based geospatial applications such as ESRI ArcGIS Online, FGDC metadata standards, management of digital imagery and raster products.

Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Geography, GIS, or related physical or social science field
Five years professional GIS experience preferably in an environmental-related field
Extensive knowledge of geospatial analytical and cartographic techniques (Previous experience in cartographic production or map design)
Geospatial data processing and data development skills and abilities
Skilled in general mapping and geospatial technical support
Good interpersonal and communication skills (Written and Verbal)
Provide guidance to other GIS Analysts with support for a wide-array of geospatial assignments
Must be able to work independently to support some advanced geospatial assignments
