Title: Program Manager with GIS
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to organize and coordinate a Department of Defense program. You will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers and will also oversee the progress of operations.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.
The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.
Please note, this position is contingent upon successful contract award.
Implementing a workflow for the QA/QC and aggregation of ARNG State/Territory geospatial data and metadata
Migration of the ARNG from SDSFIE Army Adaptation v3.1 to SDSFIE Army Adaptation version 4.x
Updating the ARNG’s repository of imagery and LiDAR data
Create spatial analysis and program support products: mapping, etc
Track facilities in GIS and the PRIDE system, then identify and reconcile discrepancies in reporting between the two information sources at five (5) ARNG Installations annually
Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff
Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
Apply change, risk and resource management
Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
Resolve projects’ higher scope issues
Prepare reports for program directors
A four (4) year degree in GIS, Cartography, Engineering, Architecture, and Planning or equivalent knowledge.
Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with DoD, Army, and ARNG geospatial programs.
Strong project management skills with a minimum of five (4) years of experience managing geospatial technology projects.
Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
