Role: Geospatial System Administrator
Provides tier 2 and 3 System Administration for enterprise GIS systems in a remote Windows environment.
Candidates might be required to obtain a security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
-Assist with Windows Server 2012 administration including IIS 8.0 using tools such as Scheduled Tasks, Event Viewer, Windows and IIS Logs
-Utilize and administer Splunk Enterprise to provide root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of a multi-tiered web application
-Creating, modifying, and troubleshooting of Windows batch files, PowerShell, and Python scripts
-Troubleshoot issues related to folder and file permissions and roaming profiles
-Troubleshoot and make recommendations regarding load balancing using BigIP and ArcGIS Server capabilities
-Assist with ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 administration including installation and configuration using ArcGIS Server -Administrator
-Configure and troubleshoot map services
-Troubleshoot issues with Non-Federated ArcGIS Server, -Federated ArcGIS Server, and Federated Hosted ArcGIS Server
-Administer ArcGIS Portal 10.3.1 including installation, configuration using Portal Administrator, and logging / troubleshooting
-Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of ArcGIS Data Stores
-Support ArcGIS and other hosted apps in a Citrix environment
Installation and management of Oracle clients
Competencies and Skills:
-Ability to communicate technical information effectively to lay persons and technical experts alike, verbally and in writing
-Technical problem-solving skills related to geospatial software
-General installation, configuration, troubleshooting skills
-Undergraduate degree (four year) in geography, science, engineering, business or another related field, or equivalent, demonstrated expertise.
-Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent and a demonstrated capability administering geospatially-enabled systems.
-Must have current DoD 8570 (Security+) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
-Must have experience with the following software elements:
Windows Server 2012
-ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 or later
-ArcGIS data stores
-Location: Offices in Birmingham AL; Alexandria, VA; or work from home considered.
-Travel up to 20%
