Role: Data Integration Analyst

Role Summary: Responsible for day-to-day data analysis and problem solving for clients. The role provides direct customer support to the Navyís Energy Program. This involves needs assessment & workflow analysis, requirements gathering, data development, business process analysis and training users on various data concepts, software and data concepts.

Candidates must be eligible for federal security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

Essential Functions:

Evaluate existing data and processes and develop action plans for integration into enterprise capability
Provide technical oversight and expertise for business line integration with the enterprise GIS
Support in the transformation of logical models into physical models
Define and maintain data design/interface requirements for enterprise system
Evaluate new data sources for inclusion into enterprise system
Contribute to data QA/QC, preprocessing, and reporting efforts
Provide reviews and comments on processes, guidelines, standards, and blueprints in support of the data management program
Support data architecture design that maximizes use of data and components, including geospatial data architecture
Attend regular meetings to review work progress and schedule
Support development of business, technical, process, and operational data documentation
Present findings/solutions clearly in person and/or writing
Maintain expertise in programming (SQL, Python, other data query and processing technologies)
Provide weekly reports to summarize completed/ongoing tasks

Experience Required:

Minimum of a Bachelorís Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or relevant field;
Demonstrated experience capturing business requirements and documenting of business rules, as well as with the development of use case models, activity diagrams, and entity relationship diagrams
Knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or other data processing technologies
Experience with enterprise GIS, Oracle, and Microsoft Ofice (Excel, Access)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Experience:

Graduate studies in Data Science or other quantitative fields
Familiarity with Scala, Java or C++

Work Environment:

Location: Client site in Washington DC
Travel approximately 10% of the time.
