Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented technology minded professional for immediate employment in the Boca Raton, Florida or in the Miami, FL office. The GIS Asset Management Specialist will report to the GIS Manager in the Information Management Solutions Group and support both internal and external clients across multiple business lines. This position will support a wide variety of projects including environmental permitting, construction, site assessments/inspections, energy infrastructure, water resources, transportation, and more. The appropriately qualified candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with various AECOM staff and project teams to develop, deploy and support both GIS production and GIS asset management solutions critical to successful project delivery.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Support Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Systems solutions that utilize GIS centric data models
• Assist with general GIS data management and production tasks as needed on projects
• Participate in design, development and creation of databases, maps, reports and other deliverables
• Support data entry, processing, digitizing, research, records management, and upkeep of metadata
• Maintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards
• Maintain expertise in existing and emerging GIS asset management related software and technologies
• Market GIS & asset management services to internal and external clients

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Social Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar
• 4+ years of relevant professional and progressively responsible experience in GIS and asset management systems implementation, administration and support
• Experience with or demonstrated working knowledge of asset management concepts and software (Azteca Cityworks or similar application technologies)
• Proficiency with the ESRI suite of desktop mapping and analysis tools and extensions
• Relational database knowledge
• Basic knowledge of GPS mobile field data collection techniques, equipment and electronic forms
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with clients, staff , project consultants, and sub-contractors
• Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assignments with minimal direction
• Strong attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in technical writing
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with or working knowledge of data analytics (management and processing of Big Data)
• Working knowledge of multi-user virtualized environments (ex. CITRIX)
• Working knowledge of municipal maintenance workflows, data structures and reporting
• GISP and/or ESRI Technical Certification
• Programming development experience
