Title: GIS Administrator
Location: Coupeville, WA
Island County Assessor's Office is looking for a GIS Administrator. This position is responsible for maintaining, updating and creating the parcel base map for Island County.
Oversees and directs the Cadastral Map program and associated data bases of the Assessor's office as mandated by Senate Bill 5111 passed March 10, 1997 and Approved April 22, 1997.
Compile Data, update and draw new maps of those properties newly annexed or platted.
Provide various agencies, county departments and public citizens with mapping information, queries and requests.
Continue linking and utilization of the Assessor's maps and associated data base in the continued development of a multi-participant GIS system with the base maps.
Keep State Department of Revenue current on all annexations to taxing districts and supplied with current maps.
Keep updated maps of all new roads/easements, including road name changes and distribute to appropriate departments.
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography or Engineering or related field.
4 years of increasingly responsible experience in the design, development, implementation and administration of Geographical information systems; or any equivalent combination of these.
Working knowledge of GIS, ESRI, ARC.
