Loudoun County uses state of the art ESRI GIS, geospatial application, and WebGIS software and holds one of ESRI’s earliest organizational licenses for a locality—Number 34. The County is also known as the “home to the internet” due to the presence of large data centers and multiple technology firms.
Loudoun County's Department of Mapping and Geographic Information is seeking qualified applications for a GIS Land Records Specialist. The position plans and manages GIS land records maintenance projects which includes creating, maintaining and quality control aspects of parcel, addressing and street centerline data. Source information comes from DXF files, address requests and plats, subdivision plats, rights of way, deeds of correction, street dedications, and legal acreage corrections. Completes research and QC projects as specified. Coordinates with staff on projects and provides customer service to staff and the public. Provides support on GIS processes and procedures to OMAGI staff or staff from other departments. Develops, modifies, and tests tools or programs using programmatic languages in accordance with department processes and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field and two years of related experience. Working knowledge of ArcGIS is required. Experience with parcel maintenance is preferred. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background, DMV, and credit checks.
