Responsibilities:
Provide geospatial data analysis support; manipulate, analyze, and/or otherwise handle geospatial data
Provide a variety of map-based products supporting AMC’s Rapid Global Mobility mission; collaborate with a wide variety of AMC-affiliated entities including Contingency Response units, Numbered Air Forces including the 18AF, USAF Expeditionary Center, and HQ AMC functional communities including but not limited to AMC/A3, A4, etc. to perform various types of spatial analysis and/or spatial data updates
Provide direct, on-site geospatial analysis support to 18th Air Force (18AF, also known as AFTRANS).  Analyze 18AF operational requirements and provide geospatial products for deliberate and crisis planning activities.  Some activities may be classified SECRET
Coordinate geospatial analysis of global airfields to include aircraft parking maximum on ground (MOG)
Support expeditionary airfield assessments, airbase opening planning, and associated processes; coordinate with MAF Contingency Response Forces before, during, and after their deployments to airfields around the globe; enhance Contingency Response Forces tactics, techniques, and procedures through infusion of geospatial data, capabilities and products
Provide assistance with geospatially enabling AMC’s Global EnRoute Infrastructure Asset Visibility capability
Able to acquire a Secret clearance
Prepare GIS layers, applications and data sets for various purposes
Understand how a GIS database functions and is used to develop GIS applications and products
Builds models in order to create an efficient workflow
Understands the importance of data quality
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Cartography, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Physical Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline or a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a certificate in GIS from an accredited university
Six years of significant applied experience in a geospatial analysis field that includes the use of current GIS tools, methods of research and analysis, application of cartographic principles, and work related to the fields listed above.
Demonstrated ability to produce high quality written reports and or analytical products within scheduled timelines that meet customer needs
Demonstrated experience with geospatial analysis processes
Proficiency with geospatial modeling, data management, analysis processes, imagery analysis and geospatial information systems
Proven usage of statistical analysis for detailed analytics, code development and its application for automating processes
Works with Esri GIS software
