Title: GIS Software Engineer (Open to Multiple Levels)

SCANA Corporation, located in Cayce, South Carolina is seeking a candidate to join a team that develops, delivers, and supports Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and applications for use in an enterprise environment.
This position will have level-appropriate responsibilities for system management and optimization of our server, database, and desktop GIS infrastructure, and development of GIS applications and services for internal customers. The candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced team environment, be eager to learn and pursue innovative solutions for our internal customers, and be able to provide excellent customer support.
The company relies heavily on our strong GIS group. It is a core technical team within Operations. We are seeking 2 candidates with either skill set below:
Enterprise System Management
•Experience with Windows 2008/2012 Server and application configuration
•Web server (IIS), applications and services administration experience
•Load balancing and scaling for performance optimization and high availability
•Related enterprise services, including networking, security, virtualization
•Experience with Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server) for configuration, security, data modelling
•Experience with the software development lifecycle
•Python 2.7 or 3, with exposure to python libraries such as Flask, ArcPy, and SqlAlchemy
•C#.Net, with exposure to ArcObjects API
•Relational data modelling and SQL
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the following:
•Deployment and administration of ArcGIS online or Portal based solutions
•Configuring and optimizing ArcGIS Enterprise
•Configuring and optimizing ArcGIS PRO, APR, Utility Network
•Configuring and managing Map/Feature/Geoprocessing Services
•Configuring and optimizing ArcSDE (10.x and beyond), versioning and replicas, ArcFM Geodatabase Manager and ArcFM Process Framework
•ETL platforms such as FME and development of scripts/workbenches
Level of position will be determined based upon education and relevant work experience.
Software Engineer I & II
•Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or
•An associate degree from an accredited university or college and 3 or more years of job related experience or
•A high school diploma accredited by an organization that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or one of the entities recognized by the U. S. Dept. of Education or GED and 8 or more years of job related experience or
•Currently enrolled in a computer related curriculum and at least 6 months of practical experience as a co-op or intern with SCANA.
Software Engineer III & IV
•Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 2 or more years of job-related experience or
•An associate degree from an accredited university or college and 6 or more years of job-related experience or
•A high school diploma or GED accredited by an organization that is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or one of the entities recognized by the U. S. Dept. of Education and 10 or more years of job-related experience or
•Successful completion of a computer-related curriculum and at least 3 years of practical experience at SCANA with part of the 3 years working as a co-op or intern for IST.
Software Engineer V
•Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college and 5 or more years of job-related experience.
