ASRC Federal Data Networx (DNX), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is seeking qualified candidates for a Geospatial Database Administrator to support a contract in Salt Lake City, Utah, and other locations.
Provide GIS Development services in enterprise wide environment
Provide production environment support on Oracle servers with ESRI ArcSDE enterprise database.
Perform map edits with short turn around times through a cloud based application on geo-enabled PDF format, GeoTIFF, vector and map service file formats
Assist in consolidation of enterprise datasets into one individual database
Assist in the development of standardized methodologies to ensure consolidated data is being used to populate customer maps.
Develop processes to integrate enterprise geospatial data into various map products (automated map production).
Participate in regular meetings of the organization.
Experience as a Geospatial Database Administrator.
Experience with cloud, online mapping, geo-enabled PDF's, and GeoTIFF's.
Must understand database operation and maintenance schedules, duties, and workflows.
Understands cartographic design principles.
Experience with Oracle Platform with ESRI's ArcSDE 10.3.1 Enterprise database
Adheres to data standards and 508 compliance best practices.
Ability to pass Government background investigation required for issuance of a LincPass
Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for Contractors
Experience developing automated and repeatable map production workflows to fulfill project requirements
Must be able to:
Apply cartographic design principles to map development in support of national, regional, and local thematic requests
Follow data standards whenever possible
Provide feedback to support geospatial direction
Produce both standardized and custom cartographic map products, in both hardcopy and various digital formats to support various analyses and other GTAC mapping projects.
Candidate must be able to perform technical support for a production environment and perform monthly and quarterly Operation and Maintenance (O&M) duties and development for system enhancements.
Understand how to automate workflows along with performing bi-monthly geodatabase replication every other week.
Candidate must assist with software installs and any other associated trouble shooting.
Provide documentation for database replication and application statistics and demonstrate proficiency in performing enterprise geodatabase operations in an ESRI Enterprise environment.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Geography, GIS, or other highly related field.
Demonstrated five (5) years working knowledge in the Information Technology field with the most recent two (2) years of work experience involving the generation, installation and maintenance of resident hardware and software packages.
