Description: The Avian Science Center in partnership with the Intermountain West Joint Venture is hiring a spatial modeling technician to assist with west-wide monitoring of wetland hydrology. Tasks will focus on polygon editing, image processing, and data management. Work will support ongoing ecological analyses to evaluate wetland processes and the influence changing land-use, water policy, and climate have on wildlife and agriculture. The duration of employment is one year with potential to extend.

Qualifications: Preferred experience includes familiarity with GIS software and cloud based image processing platforms, programming, and data management skills. Individuals should have at a minimum bachelorís degree in Landscape Ecology, Spatial Ecology, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Biology, or related field.

Work will be conducted in an open lab environment that requires the ability to focus on task and interact positively with fellow lab members in order to be productive.
