Join a team of talented technology professionals in the Washington DC area building and managing state-of-the-art web applications and data tools supporting missions critical to our nationís communities, economy, and public safety!
Working in an exciting multi-disciplinary environment among a team of talented and dedicated professionals the candidate will design, develop, enhance, automote, maintain and administer crucial enterprise geospatial software, databases, web applications and lead and support the development of innovative maps, data products and services, analytics, visualisations, dashboards and apps and more through the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to delivery.
Provide administration of enterprise geospatial software and database architectures
Provide data production, modeling, mapping, analysis, visualization support
Develop and manage automated data processing workflows
Support automation and incorporation of data and models into web and mobile applications, decision support tools, etc.
Develop interactive web tools and apps for visualizing and disseminating geospatial data
Thorough understanding of enterprise GIS software, data, methodologies, and challenges
Strong skills with a variety of GIS software including ESRI Portal, Geoevent Server, Imageserver, AGOL, PostGres, PostGIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, MapBox, Leaflet, etc.
Experience and knowledge of building and maintaining server-side geospatial systems
Experience and knowledge of building and maintaining web applications and websites
Experience building visualizations, maps, charts, dashboards, Common Operational Pictures (COPs) etc.
Experience working with different databases and data types (PostGres, SQLServer, Mongo, APIs etc.)
Experience with data integration, cleansing, ETL, data processing, data warehousing etc.
Experience with Earth, scientific social, demographic, economic, and real-time data
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work in a high-paced environment
Strong writing, communication, and documentation, presentation skills
A Bachelor's or Masterís Degree from an accredited college or university in Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and have the ability to obtain and hold U.S. Government security clearance
