Position Description:

The Eugene Water & Electric Board is recruiting for a GIS Program Lead to join a high-performing and collaborative team to be responsible for the overall technical project and program management of the enterprise-wide geographic information system.

The GIS Program Lead will:

Lead the operations of the GIS Services staff;
Ensure integration with Utility business systems and standards;
Interface with internal and external customers;
Work directly with stakeholders in our Electric and Water Divisions as well as other departments throughout the organization;
Serve as project lead in design, testing, implementation and maintenance of large-scale GIS applications, tools and associated databases;
Participate in the evaluation of GIS technologies and solutions and the development of GIS policies, standards and procedures.

The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative environment, taking personal responsibility over a given set of tasks often with short deadlines. They will have a good understanding of technology trends and developments in the industry, have exposure and demonstrated skills working within an enterprise IT/GIS setting, will provide solid technical solutions in system integration and applied spatial analysis, and will have experience working in a Utility.

Minimum Experience: Six years of experience in GIS including, database design, data modeling, data integration, and analysis.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or related fields.

Desirable education, experience, training and certifications: Two years lead worker or program management experience preferred. Utility and GIS Enterprise experience preferred.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying
