Role: Sr. Geospatial Analyst - NITC, Port Hueneme, CA

Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.

Role Summary:
The Sr. Analyst is responsible for day-to-day onsite implementation of GIS for the Navy. The role provides direct customer support to a variety of business lines. This involves needs assessment & workflow analysis, data and map service development, imagery management and publishing, license management, business process migration, analysis / map production and training users on geospatial concepts, software and data collection.

Essential Functions:
- Support implementation and sustainment of the Navy’s GeoReadiness Enterprise
- Evaluate existing and future technologies to meet functional requirements for business systems
- Evaluate and optimize map services, providing guidelines to the enterprise
- Provide Tier 3 GIS support to worldwide users and managers
- Provide ArcGIS Desktop and Server support to the Application Administrators at NITC
- Provide technical oversight, develop standards and processes for business line activities integrating with the enterprise GIS
- Demonstrate and train users on the use and adoption of GIS technologies
- Support application testing and defining test workflows for both COTS software and custom tools

- In depth knowledge of managing and publishing web services in an enterprise environment
- Ability to analyze business processes and migrate to GIS

Experience Required:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field*
- 1+ years technical experience with ArcGIS**
- Knowledge of cartographic procedures and experience generating maps
- Experience creating and editing geodatabases and metadata
- Experience with data modeling and geodatabase design
- Experience with data collection technologies and processes
* Additional experience can be substituted for education
** Additional education can be substituted for years of experience

Ideal (in addition to required experience):
- 3+ years technical experience with ArcGIS
- 1+ year GIS implementation and/or project management experience
- Working knowledge of Navy IGI&S program and technology
- Working knowledge of Utility and Energy data and workflows
- Enterprise geodatabase and SDE experience
- Model Builder/Python experience
- Knowledge of Federal data standards including FGDC and SDSFIE
- Existing DoD Clearance
- Business process modeling experience

Work Environment:
- Offices at a military installation in Port Hueneme, CA
- Minimal travel required (approximately 10%)
