Position Description:

The GIS Administrator/Developer is responsible for partnering with the IT Department to manage the organization's GIS asset, including GIS application servers, GIS web servers, geospatial databases, other GIS datasets, and GIS cloud assets. The position requires a broad knowledge of spatial data management and applied GIS and the effect the work has on the energy business. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, administering and securing the organization's GIS servers and enterprise geodatabases, in conjunction with IT personnel. This role is also responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining GIS programs, scripts, tools and websites for the organization and for various client projects. This position requires manipulating and analyzing geographical information to be presented in maps, reports and presentations.

-Administers, secures and maintains GIS servers and databases
-Authors programs, scripts, and tools for automation and incorporation into mapping and GIS workflows
-Performs GIS data gathering, digitizing, conversion, and analysis
-Authors, manages and modifies maps, both print and digital
-Manipulates and makes use of GIS data and accompanying data within Transglobal's enterprise geodatabase and other geospatial data repositories
-Provides internal/external mapping to support activities
-Follows Transglobal and Cartography procedures and practices for the management of GIS infrastructure assets and data
-Other duties within scope and reason that are assigned as needed

-3-7 years of progressive experience in a GIS environment
-2 years of hands-on experience working with the Esri ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and ArcSDE geodatabases
-1 year of GIS development, including web development
-Knowledge of Utility Industry and Energy Industry geospatial functions, such as Geometric Networks, Linear Referencing, and the incorporation of aerial photography
-Ability to create reports or exports using SQL or other GIS tools
Ability to utilize multiple large GIS datasets with differing formats and coordinates
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
