NATURE OF WORK
As a member of the town's Information Technology (IT) Division, the GIS Analyst will provide exceptional, service-focused, and reliable customer service and communication in handling service requests, incidents, changes, and releases. The GIS Analyst works under the general supervision of the IT Manager and in collaboration with the IT Division Team Members.
Hiring Range: $51,400 to 57,200 annually
Education & Experience:
At least a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college?
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in the IT/GIS field of work
Demonstrated experience using ESRI, Cartograph, and PYTHON and/or other relevant software products.
Demonstrated experience with technical project execution involving cross-functional teams, exposure to project management processes required.
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college preferred.
Experience managing GIS applications using Microsoft Windows operating systems and TCP/IP network environments.
Equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
A valid Driver's License if driving a town vehicle or if on town business and operating a vehicle is required.
Network, Computer, and/or Software related certifications, or the ability to obtain them preferred.
