Provide Cushman & Wakefield professionals with high-quality geographic and demographic materials for marketing and analyzing purposes in business pursuits. Extract information from various sources while leveraging local research and creative services (graphic design) to accurately present the findings through maps utilizing ESRI and InDesign. Must be passionate about your craft and advancing the technical and general aspects of maps, data and analysis. Provide superior level of expertise and quality to ensure accuracy of reports, data and maps. As a GIS Analyst, you will be embedded on the internal marketing team directly supporting creative services as well as local professionals across multiple disciplines and service lines. As a self-starter who can take the lead on complex projects, work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, handle stressful situations and communicate effectively with internal clients, you will elevate and innovate the GIS specialty. Push your ideas and creative materials upward while supporting and promoting the local office and national GIS platform.
Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum of 4 years experience in GIS with solid understanding of GIS terms and concepts.
Bachelors degree or certificate in Geography, Geographic Information Systems or related degree.
Strong proficiency in GIS platforms (ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and/or Pro and ArcGIS Online).
Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop as it pertains to creating maps
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills with an ability to interact with both internal and external clients
Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize efficiently and meet tight deadlines
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to work independently or with the team
Ability to efficiently perform tasks and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in all related software
Familiarity with Costar, Census and other online data sources.
Commercial Real Estate understanding is a plus!
Create and maintain interactive and static maps using ESRI and Adobe products
Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS (desktop, extensions, ArcGIS online, ArcGIS Pro) and excel
Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS 3D preferred
Understand data and analysis to assist client site selection project solutions
Ability to import data, set up thematic maps, heat maps, dot density maps, retrieve latitude/longitudes and perform analysis within ArcGIS desktop using Business Analyst or other platforms that integrate with ArcGIS
Assist with conducting Trade Area analysis to include: ring analysis studies, drive time studies, and custom trade areas to identify relevant demographic trends, trade area statistics and map outputs
Assist clients with site selection/optimization strategies based upon directives and market opportunities
Compile and distribute high-end output in the form of maps, reports, presentations, narratives, data summaries, etc.
Compile geographic data from a variety of sources to improve industry and market knowledge
Consult with professionals and clients to determine appropriate map analysis technique
Follow QA/QC processes to maintain integrity of mapping resources and geospatial data
Blend data analytics and design to create aesthetically pleasing presentation type maps
Willing to learn new software and techniques
Stay apprised of new GIS methodologies and principals
Develop relationships with internal clients to better understand their business with the goal of advancing our mapping capabilities to meet their needs. Work with the group to evaluate technologies that are not currently in use and expanding the existing use of technologies
Assist in the training and support of the online demographic application
