DRT is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst/Technologist to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Geospatial Research Analysis and Services Program (GRASP). GRASP Provides leadership and expertise in applying the concepts, methods, and tools of geospatial information science to public health research and practice; Collaborates with scientists and researchers at CDC/ATSDR and their public health partners to address environmental health and emergency preparedness and response issues; and Embraces, leverages, and promotes geospatial technology.
Publish data layers, maps, operations dashboards and StoryMaps using ArcGIS Portal.
Prepare and load geospatial data files (.shp, etc) as hosted data layers on ArcGIS Portal.
Publish geospatial data layers that are directly connected to SQL Server / SDE.
Prepare, publish and maintain metadata.
Design, test, and implement maps, operations dashboards and StoryMaps using ArcGIS Portal.
Automate deployment of GIS data on ArcGIS Server using REST API and Python.
Prepare, manage, and manipulate MS SQL Server data and databases using T-SQL
Perform analysis of GIS public health and environmental data including proximity analysis, surface analysis, network analysis and more.
Employ both vector and raster data to analyze public health and environmental data.
Use mobile tools such as Survey123 to gather, integrate and analyze public health data.
Produce static and interactive cartographic products to communicate complex concepts to audiences of all types
Develop project documentation in accordance with customer guidelines.
Five (5) or more years of GIS analysis experienceTwo (2) or more years of experience using ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal), ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, SDE
Two (2) or more years of experience with relational database management systems using SQL
Experience in platform architecture, solution design, planning, developing, deployment, and security
Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts, such as spatial analysis, map projections, etc.
Excellent data management skills
Experience IT environment and standards: SDLC, technical architecture, release processes
Bachelorís Degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related field; Masterís Degree preferred
