Role: Sr. Geospatial Analyst
Role Summary: GISinc is seeking an experienced, Sr. Geospatial Analyst to support an enterprise DoD GIS program onsite at a government facility. This role requires a strong technical perspective and ability to both support and guide the DoD customer with location technology expertise in geospatial technology, with primary focus on the Esri platform. The successful candidate will be able to serve as a trusted resource and technical advocate to the customer and stakeholders, inclusive of data management and GIS strategies as well as outreach, best practices support, product evaluation, and planning and decision support. This role will be both hands-on technical and advisory.
Candidates are required to obtain a security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
Create and maintain ArcGIS rest services, web maps, and web applications utilizing Enterprise Arc Portal/Pro instances.
Create and visualize non-geospatial data sources on maps.
Apply location technology expertise, best practices, and standard operating procedures to support DoD Installation and Environment, Installations Geospatial and Information Services (IGI&S) business requirements.
Provide, review, and assess documentation, training, how-to references for customers and users.
Collaborate with industry partners to troubleshoot, develop, and promote software, applications, and programs.
Create, analyze, manage, and exploit data for visualization needs, as well as provide holistic understanding of data quality.
Automate scripts and processes both geospatial and non-geospatial.
Established experience and understanding of geospatial integration with IT systems including cloud, web services, databases, and security.
Develop and maintain SharePoint site contents and organization.
Experience and understanding with data standards and management at an enterprise level.
Work and communicate with stakeholders, various organizations, and the direct customer via meetings, briefings, and presentations.
Collect requirements, establish timelines, and manage customer expectations. Communicate progress and demonstrate capabilities.
Provide solution COAs for customers based on requirements.
Collaborate with GISinc technical leadership, management, and SME's to provide the customer with the most current technical and best practices support and recommendations.
Bachelors or masters in geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field, depending on position level
3+ years experience in geospatial/Esri technology with design, implementation, and administration of Esri ArcGIS Platform
Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online
US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance or Higher
Experience in Python programming language
Experience Preferred (in addition to requirements):
Experience with IGI&S, SDSFIE, Real Property and geospatial support for U.S. Military Installations, projects, and pavements.
2+ years GIS implementation and project management experience
Experience with requirements gathering and informatics visualization
Familiar with SharePoint management
