Position Description:

This position is for a Mission Planner and project support role that will report to the Senior Mission Planning Engineer for the Ocean Operations Department with a diversified customer. The role requires a highly motivated individual who possesses a high proficiency in GIS software, project planning capability, interpersonal skills, and comfortable with multi-tasking and ambiguity.

Essential Job Functions:
Support engineering staff in the subsea installation of cables and devices
Communicate project planning via various communications systems
Assist the Ocean Operations Team in forming solutions and implementation
Coordinate and liaison with source data providers
Cartographic design and map making
Analyze conflicting source material and spatial conflicts
Provide user support for all aspects of GIS data and software
Maintain hardware, software, and associated system components on a closed network
Use GIS to build presentations and reports
Marine Operations & Station familiarity
Possess a dynamic personality that earns customer confidence and respect

BA or BS degree required
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Expertise of ESRI ArcGIS suite 10.x and pro
Knowledge of Makai engineering software
Understanding of CAD and associated file formats
Familiarity with components of subsea constructs
Strong teambuilding skills
Dynamic Communication Skills
A minimum of two-five years’ experience in GIS
Must be able to maintain a DoD clearance

Ability to pass a “Fit for Duty” physical exam.
