Position Description:

Arora Engineers, Inc. is hiring a GIS Manager for the Philadelphia area! This individual will be responsible for the production and maintenance of geographic applications and supporting datasets. Provides review and guidance to GIS staff

Essential Functions:
GIS Application Development and Deployment Tasks:
Uses expertise to review and guide the development and deployment of mobile and desktop GIS solutions
Participates and oversees the implementation of onsite and cloud-based GIS technical architecture in support of GIS application deployments
Implements and manages ArcSDE and SQL databases in support of GIS application deployments
Develops and manages scripts for data analysis and systems integration
Develops ArcGIS tools to streamline and standardize existing workflows and GIS processes
Reviews the adequacy and quality of GIS data and code to support the deployment of GIS solutions, and provide recommendation for specific types of improvement
Produces and maintains geographic data and graphics for airport-related GIS projects.
Develops GIS databases following GIS standards.
Participates in ongoing training and career development activities.
Stays current with GIS software trends.

Arora Atlas Indoor GIS Solution Tasks:
Provides technical support to professional staff, and direction to Design Team members assigned to enhance the Arora Atlas indoor solution.
Provides guidance on application development and software programming to enhance/customize the Arora Atlas indoor solution service line.
Assists Product Director and Project Managers with business development, as well as the preparation and presentation of customer facing and on-site project demonstrations.

Secondary Functions:
Supports opportunities to educate other staff members, who are not part of the GIS team, to learn about GIS abilities and possibilities.
Performs related work as required.

Qualifications
Education/Experience Minimum:
Bachelorís degree, preferably in geography, urban planning, geographic information systems, or related field
7+ years of GIS systems software, or related experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
GISP certification, a plus.
FAA IDLE Certification in Airport GIS, a plus.
Airport experience, a plus.

Needed Skills:
Experience with implementing onsite and cloud-based GIS technical architecture to support the deployment of GIS solutions.
Experience with GIS software systems specifically ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, and other ESRI extensions.
Experience developing custom scripts for GIS data management and analysis
Experience customizing web maps and applications using ArcGIS Online for Organizations and/or Portal for ArcGIS
Experience with HTML5 and/or JavaScript
Knowledge of planning, design, maintenance and production of geographic data and graphics using GIS systems.
Familiarity with CAD datasets and the conversion process to GIS.
Experience managing spatial data concepts, projections systems, geo-databases, topology, and relational databases.
Ability to create high-quality graphic products.
Organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently within a team environment.
Desire to earn GISP certification.
Possesses appropriate paperwork to demonstrate legal right to work in United States as a full-time, regular employee.
Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
Ability to meet worksite security requirements.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of FAA's Airport GIS Program.
