LSA is seeking a Senior GIS Specialist/Programmer. The position is currently remote, but will require some in-office (Irvine) time in the future.

If hired, the candidate will be responsible for providing programming support for internal applications and cartographic map production and data analysis in support of LSA’s technical disciplines (natural resources, archaeology, paleontology, transportation environmental/planning services, and others).

The Senior GIS Specialist should have excellent command of all GIS concepts including analytics, data, visualizations (static and interactive), automation concepts and evaluation and solutioning. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, managing data in support of LSA’s technical disciplines, designing, creating, and developing spatial data sets and models using ArcGIS 10.x and ArcGIS Pro; ArcGIS Enterprise maintenance and upkeep, performing data conversions; creating and publishing maps; assisting with the development and submittal of proposals; and programming in ArcGIS Runtime, JavaScript, and/or Python for internal applications. The Senior GIS Analyst should have some proven skills in scripting and or coding automated processes for completing day-to-day tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS/BA in Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, or other related field;
• Demonstrated computer analysis and statistical skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple complex tasks;
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microstation required;
• Experience in Python and ArcEnterprise required;
• Experience with JavaScript and Runtime is desirable;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team;
• Good verbal and written communication skills; and
• Good organizational, scheduling, and budget management skills
