Spatial Front Inc. (SFI) is a fast growing Small Business providing IT support to Federal State, and local governments. We are looking for a software developer to join our team to support our NOAA National Ocean Service National Geodetic Survey (NGS) IT Services Support contract.

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of Visual Basic .Net programming. JSP and Java is preferred as well. The candidate will be able to work remotely so they must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.


Provide development support to support the NOAA Windesc and Translev applications to a WEBD based platform.
WinDesc is the NGS approved software program for Windows-based computers for the purpose of creating, editing, and submitting recovery information for benchmark(s).
All benchmark descriptions for water level stations are required to be generated by this program.
Translev is the NGS approved software program for Windows based computers for the purpose of processing digital levelling observation data and creating abstracts, bok files, and VERTOBS datasets that are acceptable for submission to the National Geodetic Survey (NGS).
All digital levelling observation data for water level stations are required to be processed by this program.


Bachelorís degree or eight years of equivalent work experience.
Six years of related work experience.
A Visual Basic .Net programmer who can preferably program in JSP and Java as well.
Scientific background is a plus
Experience with NOAA applications is a plus

In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a US Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the US for the past three (3) years.
