Position Description:

ASRC Federal Professional Services is currently seeking a "Senior Designer" to support the mechanical design needs of the US Army PM Tactical Radio Group.

Overview:

The engineer's main focus will be on performing 3D CAD routings (vehicle-based environment) for electrical harnesses/cables and interfacing with the mechanical engineering department for total system modeling in support of daily Army requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Working in a collaborative team, performing the following tasks:

Work closely with the engineering staff to develop 3D cable routings using Creo software.
Must be proficient at reading military cable drawings, bill of materials and performing inventory/kit sheet creation.
Must have the ability to take redline drawings for design modifications from technicians and revise the drawings/models.
Responsible for designing all Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and related hardware.
Mock-up and installation of NRE related hardware on military vehicles.
Participate in on-site integration of projects on various military installations.
Designer must be willing to travel 25% - 50% of the time.

Experience Requirements:

Position requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent and two to four years of related design experience or 5+ years' experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Proficient with PTC Creo software, Creo Cable Harness, Creo Schematic, AutoCAD, Adobe Pro.
Clearance:

Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
