Summary:


As a Geospatial Technician, the successful candidate will participate on a team engaged in: (1) collecting, processing, and delivering of geospatial data; (2) extracting feature and/or terrain data from a variety of data sources; (3) perform quality assurance and quality control on data products; (4) managing and organizing large volumes of geospatial data; (5) supporting geospatial data production with well-defined procedures and (6) working side-by-side with a team of geospatial professionals to execute 2D/3D production workflows.

Execute geospatial production tasks to include extracting terrain and/or feature data from a variety of sources
Be a part of a team responsible for performing geospatial processing and production tasks
Maintain regular communication with team/staff members
Assist in creation and updating of work procedures/checklists
Complete project tasks independently with oversight from Project Manager
Work with the team to ensure physical and data security procedures.
Active security clearance preferred or must be currently eligible to be cleared for a security clearance or have a clearance that can be reinstated upon hire.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience


Working knowledge of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) GEOINT 2D/3D data formats, standards and user-community use cases for those data sets.
Minimum of 1 year(s) of experience using geospatial technologies in a professional and/or educational setting
Minimum of 1 year(s) of experience using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) geospatial software tools to process, review and analyze geospatial data products.
Preferred:

Experience producing standard 2D/3D GEOINT Products
Experience processing/creating Digital Elevation Models (DEM) and feature data
Experience deploying advanced geospatial processing techniques
Knowledge of industry and government geospatial metadata standards and formats
US citizen


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Knowledge of geospatial principles including datum/projection, data types and formats, accuracy assessment methodologies, data integrity, photogrammetry, and GIS analysis.
Capability to see terrain data in stereo (stereoscopic vision). A short, in-office test will validate this capability.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Ability to communicate to others to convey information effectively.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems to maximize customer satisfaction.
Skilled at understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Effective, professional, and engaging communication skills.
The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
Effective time management skills.
Position requires initiative, independence, persistence, attention to detail, achievement, dependability, diplomacy, discretion, integrity, stress tolerance, and professional appearance.
Motivated, self-starter.
Ability to effectively interact with other team members possessing a range of knowledge and skillsets, from highly technical to non-technical support staff


Education:


A Bachelors or Masters from an accredited college in a geospatial, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system.


Additional Qualifying Factors:


A satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTC are required.
