Dymaptic is a small woman-owned software engineering company headquartered in Portland, OR. We build mapping software for our clients and develop off-the-shelf products. We are the makers of infomaptic, a modern, standalone feature reporting web app for ArcGIS data. Our customers include Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and large municipal governments, and our software engineers combine commercial tools, open-source software, and custom code to build the complete solutions our clients need.

What You’ll Do as a GIS Developer

In your role as a GIS Developer, you will work with clients to help with GIS programming and analysis tasks. While your responsibilities are not limited to the following, you will, for example, be:

Creating geoprocessing scripts in Python using arcpy
Creating ArcGIS Pro add-ins
Creating scripts and procedures to load and manipulate data in SDE
Creating widgets using the JavaScript API
Creating mobile and desktop apps using ArcGIS Runtime
Working in ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro to create maps, vector tiles, perform analysis and publish data to ArcGIS Enterprise
Creating ArcGIS Online and Enterprise web maps, Web AppBuilder apps, dashboards and story maps
Creating Survey123 surveys for data collection
Creating and updating Geocortex map viewers, mobile applications, and workflows
Creating and updating ArcGIS HUB sites
Providing technical consulting to clients and internal project teams
Performing other GIS duties as assigned by project manager

Qualifications of Our Ideal GIS Developer

5+ years professional experience in geospatial application design, development, and operations
Experience programming in Python, JavaScript, C# and SQL
Experience with Esri software
Experience with Geocortex software
Familiarity with local government GIS environments
Good communicator
Must be a self-starter requiring little to no supervision
