Carlisle|Wortman Associates Inc. is a multi-disciplinary urban planning firm based in Ann Arbor Michigan. CWA provides high-level service to more than 60 municipal clients throughout the state of Michigan. CWA Services include on-site staffing; development review; master planning; zoning ordinance evaluation, amendments, and administration; park planning; public meeting facilitation; and more. CWA is seeking qualified candidates to join our dynamic team. This opportunity is for an entry level planner with skills in visual communications who will work closely with principles and associates to provide service to our clients.

Main Tasks
Produce graphics for planning documents, presentations, and web-based platforms

Coordinate GIS functions

Support the project team through design and technical tasks

Assist in the generation of written reports, planning documents and project proposals

Work on multiple projects and collaborate with team members

Assist with community outreach
Conduct field evaluations and assessments
Attend some municipal evening meetings

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

1+ year of related experience

Ability to visually communicate design ideas and direction clearly and effectively

Proficiency in the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

Proficiency in ArcGIS, including mapping and analysis

Proficiency in Sketch Up and AutoCAD beneficial, but not required.
