Imagery Specialist

SUMMARY:
The Imagery Specialist provides technical expertise in imagery production and acts as a technical resource.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
Troubleshoots and solves complex imagery issues.
Identifies need for and develops production tools for data conversion and image processing.
Develops and implements target GIS software platform QA/QC tools and performs QA/QC.
Designs and provides training to more junior staff members.
Assists in the daily oversight of imagery team.
Continually looks for methods to enhance production processes, lower costs and improve product delivery.
Assists in the development or revision of standard operational and working practices.
Provides support to Sales and Proposals staff as required for technical writing, presentations, cost estimates and project planning.
Generates production reports and delivers reports to management as required.
Assures quality. Follow Sanborn’s Quality Management System (QMS) and provide ISO training to employees.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors in Geography or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for the education requirement.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of ten years’ experience in imagery/ortho production is required. Imagery/Ortho software expertise required. Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a changing environment. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication leadership and motivational skills with a strong commitment to quality required.

Position Location: Colorado Springs, CO office location

Annual Salary Range - $85 to $105k
