We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is seeking a skilled GIS Production Analyst to join our team in providing technical support at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Joint Warfare Center (NATO JWC) in Stavanger, Norway. In this role, you will offer geospatial assistance to help develop and maintain national datasets, leveraging Esri ArcGIS software to ensure the highest standards for vector and raster data management. Your responsibilities will include supporting data management processes, generating high-quality maps, and performing rigorous quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures. Additionally, you will maintain geospatial data within an enterprise GIS environment, assist with geodatabase upkeep, and apply your expertise in GIS technologies to deliver impactful solutions. This position’s primary location is at NATO JWC Headquarters – Stavanger, Norway.

Key Responsibilities:

•Implement advanced geospatial data quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes using industry-standard tools.
•Manage and optimize workflows involving ArcGIS Enterprise and versioned geodatabases, ensuring seamless operations and data integrity.
•Build, publish, manage, and cache Web Map Services (WMS) and Web Feature Services (WFS) within ArcGIS Enterprise, ensuring efficient access to geospatial data.
•Utilize ArcGIS, GDAL, FWTools, and Adobe Photoshop for advanced raster editing, processing, conversion, and compression techniques.
•Create and manage complex raster datasets in ArcGIS, including WMS caches, mosaic datasets, and overviews for optimized data presentation.
•Provide high-quality cartographic outputs by supporting ad-hoc map and graphic design requests, applying best practices in cartographic principles.
•Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and team members to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows that meet the needs of customers and partners.
•Skilled in technical writing, with the ability to communicate clearly and simply with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of technical expertise.

The following are requirements of the GIS Production Analyst:

•U.S. Citizen.
•Active DoD Secret Clearance.
•Active U.S. Passport.
•3 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree; or 1 year of experience with a PhD.
•Experienced in the use of data standards in either military and/or Defense Geospatial Real World Object Index (DGIWG) for data standardization and data cleansing.
•Experience in researching, sourcing, and merging datasets from a wide range of providers and sources.
•Knowledge of a wide range of mapping types, series and scales (preferably military).
•3 years demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Software (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro).
•Strong background in providing geospatial technical support and training.
•Strong commitment to enhancing business processes and implementing best-in-class solutions.
•You should be curious, driven to consistently pursue high-quality data sets and cartographic products, and proactive in anticipating customer and project needs.
•A passion for the geospatial industry, combined with an enthusiasm for exploring and adopting new technologies, is essential.
•Skilled in managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working both independently and collaboratively, with a passion for location-based problem-solving to support client missions.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing, public speaking, and preparing reports and briefs in the English Language.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

The following are desired capabilities and experience of the GIS Production Analyst:

•Certifications (GISP, CompTIA Security+, Esri, Microsoft, PMP).
•Experience using REST and web service endpoints to create secure web applications.
•Experience with Python, T-SQL, SQL, PL/SQL, or other RDBMS tools.
