Title: Geospatial Principal Investigator
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
The Sanborn Map Company is looking to fill a Geospatial Principal Investigator position in Salt Lake City, UT.
Provide expert level assistance to federal program management staff in working with program stakeholders to define project scope, identify resource requirements, identify strategic risks, and assess project feasibility relative to the mission of RSAC, the GMO, and the Forest Service. Provide assistance in the strategic identification, allocation, and management of contract resources necessary to achieve program and project objectives. Provide top-level contractor leadership interface with federal program management staff and federal contract administrators for all on-site contract resources.
a. Ten years of relevant work experience and advanced degree related to geography, geographic information systems, remote sensing, or physical/biological/environment/natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in remote sensing/geospatial analysis and modeling.
Fifteen years of relevant work experience and bachelor’s degree related to geography, geographic information systems, remote sensing, or physical/biological/environment/natural resource discipline with substantive coursework in remote sensing/geospatial analysis and modeling.
b. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract operations and contract staff supervision with demonstrated experience as a contract leader.
c. Demonstrated ability to problem solve at a strategic level, defining set plans to achieve business goals.
d. Experience providing expert level assistance in developing and managing proposals, project budgets, project schedules, and project resource plans.
e. Demonstrated experience providing expert level assistance in developing complex proposals and managing geospatial project activities, including assessment of project business requirements; development of scopes of work; identification of major constraints, estimating levels of effort; defining deliverables, and coordinating and managing personnel resources.
f. Demonstrated expertise in preparing publications, technical reports, guidelines, strategic- level documents, assessment and recommendations documents, etc.
