Title: GIS Analyst
Location: Kansas City, MO USA
This role will serve as a support analyst supporting GIS practitioners in the Business Units, providing ad hoc GIS data support for Business Units without GIS practitioners, and representing Enterprise GIS from
a data and service administrative perspective.
Bachelors degree in Geography or Computer Science is required
4 years experience using GIS software for cartography and spatial analysis demonstrating an increase in the complexity
KNOWLEDGE OR SKILLS:
-Familiar with geospatial concepts, practices, and procedures including, but not limited to, coordinate systems and projections, topology, and Linear Referencing Systems.
-Familiar with CAD, GPS and LiDAR technologies
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE OR SKILLS:
ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ESRI ArcGIS Server (SDE), ESRI Workflow Manager, ESRI Data Reviewer, ESRI ArcGIS Mobile, Trimble Positions, and Safe Software FME Desktop
-Perform spatial data analysis to meet business needs and provide results to make better business decisions.
-Produce maps, provide web-based mapping support, develop spatial and non-spatial databases, and provide technical support to other team members.
-Administer GIS services and provide support for GIS applications. Coordinate with team members and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
-Meet with business stakeholders to gather requirements and use those specifications to recommend and provide the best solution to meet business needs.
-Stay abreast of new geospatial trends and technologies. Participate in professional organization(s) based on area of expertise and/or company focus.
