Title: Intermediate GIS Analyst

Integrated Informatics Inc. (www.integrated-informatics.com) is an established GIS and Spatial Data Management consulting company servicing the Energy and Natural Resource sectors. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Intermediate GIS Analyst for client projects and product implementations. Salary commensurate with experience.
Applicants should have a minimum of Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, or related field.
Experience and knowledge matters! Our projects have a high level of challenge and innovation and require expertise and knowledge that comes from experience. Candidates should have at least 3 years experience with 5+ years preferred.
Experience should be primarily in the Energy or Natural Resource sectors.
The applicant should have experience with the ESRI suite of applications. Experience with the ESRI geoprocessing framework (Model Builder and Python) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills; must be able to handle conflicting priorities.
Solid understanding of spatial reference systems is an absolute must. Real-world experience in the realm of survey, geodesy, or geomatics is an asset.
Applicant should have a working knowledge of basic spatial analysis techniques and be familiar with the use of Relational and Spatial databases in a GIS.
Excellent problem solving (creativity counts!) and data management skills are required for this position.
Our projects constantly engage the end-user community and as such we are often asked to provide technical assistance and guidance and general support to technical and workflow issues.
The candidate will play a key role in variety of activities such as solutioning, requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, training, and support.
Core activities for this job are workflow automation, project and enterprise level spatial data management, system integration, as well as facilitating and performing spatial analysis.
Applicant should have the discipline for sleuthing data integrity issues, an aptitude for GIS analysis, and a practical approach to data management processes.
Rudimentary development experience desirable but not a must; the applicant should have a working knowledge of the basic spatial analysis techniques and be familiar with use of Relational and Spatial databases in a GIS.
Experience with other spatial data manipulation applications, platforms or paradigms, including open source, would also be highly advantageous to the applicant.
The successful candidate will work in the distributed GIS team of Integrated Informatics on a mixture of spatial data management and systems implementation projects.
