About the position:
The Cartographer leverages a passion for data and design to create effective infographic-style maps and other data visualizations with regard to the underlying data; drives and promotes a data-driven culture; ensures time dissemination of results and products; and works with team members to understand content, conduct analysis of data and present key findings. IHPR is looking for a candidate with a passion for data (understanding, manipulating, and analyzing), creating products that users will understand, and for creative problem solving.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in public health, health services research, science, engineering, geography and related field with coursework and/or work experience with GIS software AND at least 2 years of work experience in public health/health data analysis a mapping.
• Knowledge and experience with ArcMap 10.4 or higher
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of public health and health care concepts and methods
• Prior work experience in a healthcare/health services research setting or with health or health care data
• Hiring range $40,000-$50,000
