Position Description:

Resource Management Service, LLC. (RMS) is a global forestry-centered investment manager with significant expertise in all phases of institutional timberland investing. Founded and managed by forestry professionals and owned by its employees, RMS is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, with offices across the U.S. South, in Australia, Brazil, and New Zealand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The GIS Analyst position will work with others in the GIS group to support all aspects of managing the GIS systems and data covering all RMS managed properties. The position will also take the lead within the group to improve and standardize both digital and printed map products. The GIS Analyst will manage editing of several corporate data sets including removal of recent land sales and area control on managed properties in the U.S. and internationally.

DUTIES:
Activities include, but are not limited to:

- GIS Data Maintenance
- General GIS data maintenance and data editing
- Acquisition due diligence, data migration and GIS
data review
- Assist in GIS data quality improvement process
- Map production and standardization
- Develop standardized map product templates for
use in both web and desktop applications
- Support Birmingham users in development of
engaging and informative digital and printed map
products
- Work with internal and external programmers to
improve the quality of map products produced
through custom mapping applications
- Support
- Support of ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online for field and
Birmingham users
- Provide GIS analytic support on various corporate
projects

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelorís Degree in forestry with emphasis on GIS or GIS degree or previous experience with a focus on GIS
- Highly proficient user of ArcGIS 10.X (ArcGIS Pro a plus) with particular competency in map production and data editing
- Strong cartographic skills
- Understanding of relational databases
- Proficient in Microsoft Access or SQL
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledgeable of ESRI data storage formats, ESRI Geoprocessing tools, and methods
- Ability and desire for continued technical and professional growth
- Demonstrated team player and leader
- Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
