Title: CADD/GIS Analyst
Location: Alexandria, VA
Assist a DoD client with supporting and bridging CADD/GIS functionality related to Facility, Real Property, and Indoor Space Management. The analyst will assist in coordinating support of critical functions for the Real Property Accountability Office. The analyst will provide support to enable validation of complete and accurate real property inventory records for the identified assets, including interior floor plans. Execute the responsibilities of a CADD/GIS Analyst supporting Real Property functions as a part of a DoD Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) Program, which include:
CADD technical proficiency and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D.
Experienced in CADD/GIS Interoperability
Prepare Architectural and Engineering drawings of facilities, facility systems, and infrastructure in support of facility operations and maintenance.
Perform fieldwork, site surveys, and facility investigations to collect architectural, engineering, and infrastructure data needed for the completion of drawings and details.
Develops and maintains a drawing database of supported facilities worldwide.
Prepares, revises and changes engineering drawings on CADD System.
Requirements and Experience:
The following are requirements of a potential candidate:
Preferred Bachelors Degree in Geography, GIS, Architecture, Engineering, related IT field
We will consider Associates Degree or Technical Certification in Design Engineering or Engineering Technology with relevant experience
Experienced in DoD installation real property functional areas
Experience with CADD and maintaining facility hardcopy and softcopy files and plans.
Experience with AutoCAD software applications
Experienced and knowledge of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE)
Knowledge of DoD and Federal GIS and CADD Standards and Policy
High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills, written and verbal communication skills.
United States citizen and have U. S. drivers license
The following are desired capabilities and experience of a successful candidate:
Knowledge of DoN iNFADS and experience in Federal Real Property accountability.
Experience in DoD Installation Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) or other DoD installation functional areas.
Ability for perform field data collection activities using various tools such as a GPS, tablet, smartphone, or other survey device.
Proficiency with ESRI and CADD software products, data formats, QC tools and workflows.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs overhead and to perform indoor and outdoor data collection by foot during inclement weather conditions.
