Job Summary

As a member of the GIS team, this position includes the understanding and use of ArcGIS Enterprise platform with ArcGIS Server utilizing SQL Server databases, Portal, and ArcGIS mobile apps Explorer & Collector, as well as ArcGIS Online; conduct title and land records research, data entry, high-end map production and cartography, use of survey maps and construction drawings. Tejon GIS department supports multiple divisions within the company and manages diverse data layers relating to: community development & land use planning, natural resource & environmental mapping, asset inventory of ranch & farming operation facilities, as well as major utility infrastructure and easement locations while maintaining strict confidentiality. Practical experience within any of these fields is a plus.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Create, edit, and maintain GIS databases
• Analyze, extract, & map GIS data
• Read technical plans, blueprints, legal descriptions, and engineering drawings
• Convert AutoCAD drawings & other sources of digital data to GIS
• Create maps & exhibits for reports, presentations, and meetings
• Inventory & manage engineering drawings (hardcopy & electronic)
• Scan, plot, and archive maps
• Manage files and records
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the GIS Director

Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years GIS experience utilizing ESRI’s suite of mapping and geo-database software preferred
• Experience in public utilities, water/wastewater, construction, or similar industry desired
• Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience
