Position Description:

As a member of the Town’s Information Technology (IT) Division, the GIS Analyst will provide exceptional, service-focused, and reliable customer service and communication in handling service requests, incidents, changes, and releases. The GIS Analyst works under the general supervision of the GIS Supervisor and in collaboration with the IT Division Team Members.

Work Schedule: Generally, Monday-Friday; and, after-hours meetings, problem resolution & on-call as necessary

Hiring Range: $51,400 - $57,200 annually

The town generally provides the following benefits (eligibility is generally the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment):

-Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience in the GIS field of work.

-Experience in the IT field of work is desired

-Demonstrated experience using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Mobile applications, Cartograph, PYTHON, ARCADE, SQL and/or other relevant software products or programming languages.

-Experience using Trimble hardware and related tools.

-Demonstrated experience with technical project execution involving cross-functional teams, exposure to project management processes required

-Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college preferred

-Experience managing GIS applications using Microsoft

-Windows operating systems and TCP/IP network environments

-Equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered
