Title: ESRI GIS QA Engineer
SSP Innovations is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead all testing and QA aspects of our ESRI GIS application environment. Candidates will be required to have a Quality Assurance and Application Testing background. A firm minimum of 2 years of ESRI GIS-related quality assurance and functional validation experience is required for this position.
This is not a technical code testing position, rather it is focused on validating ESRI GIS-related application functions against requirements documents. Software engineering experience is not required.
This position will also seek candidates that can take on the following tasks:
-Verify that the delivery fulfills the requirements and specification documents (Traceability)
-Help SSP team validate that the delivery satisfies the needs of the customer
-Perform various types of testing (system, integration, performance, exploratory, etc.)
-Contribute to creating User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
-Break down User Stories into tasks (particularly testing tasks)
-Estimate testing effort associated with SOW, User Stories, and all testing tasks
-Identify functional and non-functional aspects of the project/product to be tested
-Work with team to define the necessary test levels and suggest the optimal
-Create test plans
-Create and execute test cases
-Review SOW, requirement specification, and design documents for consistency and accuracy to provide feedback
-Enhance communication and collaboration within the team to ensure quality is the responsibility of all
-Document quality assurance activities
-Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
-Communicate effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, customers and Senior Management as required
