The Business Technology Consultant is an external, client-facing position within our Management Consulting Team. You will be supporting technology, enterprise asset management (EAM) consulting services to local governments and utilities in North America. You will contribute to information gathering through direct client discussions and provide consulting expertise to recommend improvements to and optimization of existing EAM solution implementations. This position can sit in any location in our Florida market.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead implementation planning, configuration, customization, integration, report development, end-user training, and on-site go-live support for EAMS solution implementations.
Work with various consultant specialty teams to prepare proposals, technical papers, presentations, reports and implementation plans; define EAM application strategies; and to develop detailed project deliverables.
Prepare clear documentation to justify application requirements, analytical methods, calculations and rationale used in reaching conclusions.
Support the development of technical specifications, project approaches, develop project cost estimates and project schedules.
Perform quality assurance and quality control of deliverables to adhere to client and project requirements.
Develop technical system needs and requirements and implementation of improved business processes.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential clients, customers and contractors in order to develop business.
Develop and maintains strategic business partnerships with technology platform providers while closely aligning business goals and objectives.
Demonstrate industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS.
Design, develop, implement, and maintain asset management software.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Possess a broad range of local government and utility planning, operation and asset management experience.
Ability to describe the value of our services using objective and tangible results, sell work and manage the execution of the work.
Knowledge of EAM implementation and optimization. This includes work process development, asset inventory and hierarchy design, and KPI development.
Knowledge of utility asset lifecycle and related business processes managed within an EAM such as asset handover, inspections, asset maintenance and repair, work scheduling, inventory, and repair/refurbish/replace decisions.
Previous experience working with CMMS applications (such as Trimble Cityworks, Cartograph, Infor EAM, Central Square Lucity, Dude Solutions, etc.).
Experience leveraging the ArcGIS enterprise platform (desktop, server, and online).
Experience working with the ArcGIS Utility Network
Experience with utility billing systems, customer information systems, and associated business processes.
Excellent verbal and presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, GIS, engineering, or related fields is required. Master’s Degree is a plus.
6 years total post-undergraduate working experience in municipal management consulting, GIS, asset management, engineering, and/or working for local government agencies in these areas.
Knowledge of and experience with enterprise asset management, GIS, or utility information systems
Direct work experience/history with local government agencies
Elements of project management experience, including preparing and managing project scope, schedule, team activities, communication, and deliverables.
