Geocgi is looking for a GIS Analyst to assist a DoD client with improving and maintaining GIS data for military installations. The candidate will provide specialized technical and analytical geospatial assistance that will support the development and maintenance of installation datasets. They will support data collection through specialized GPS equipment, SDSFIE standards integration, and quality verification processes. They will maintain geospatial data in an enterprise GIS implementation, aid in the maintenance of the geodatabase, and apply technical and programmatic knowledge of GIS. To perform the duties of the GIS Analyst successfully, the candidate must be:

The following are requirements of the potential candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience /combined education.: At least 7 years of experience in GIS project management, database administration, cartographic production, application development, spatial analysis, and similar duties.
Proficient user of Esri’s ArcGIS software suite, including ArcGIS Portal/ArcGIS Online.
Demonstrated experience editing in a multiuser, versioned environment, working with relational databases, and managing large, complex data models.
Demonstrated experience working with CAD data in GIS environment; ability to read, interpret, and integrate information from engineering drawings into GIS.
Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality maps for visualization and analysis.
Experience conducting presentations and providing GIS guidance/technical expertise to government users and customers.
Experience with professional-grade GPS data collection and post-processing; knowledge of field data collection methods, survey techniques, and accuracy standards.
Experience with image processing and raster analysis.
Highly detailed-oriented, critical thinker with an eye towards quality.
Experience with MS office products.
Shall be able to perform fieldwork in tropical environments and travel via military transportation.
