We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a GIS Solution Engineer with ArcGIS Enterprise and JavaScript API experience to be a part of our team delivering Installation Geospatial Information and Services support to the United States Marine Corps Installations Pacific (MCIPAC), on-site at MCB Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan. The GIS Solution Engineer is responsible for specialized technical and analytical geospatial assistance that will support the maintenance of an Enterprise GIS, applying technical and programmatic knowledge of GIS. The candidate will execute the responsibilities of a GIS Solution Engineer, which include:
ArcGIS Enterprise support
Application Development and O&M
Data development
SDSFIE standards integration
Quality verification processes
Assisting in the maintenance of geospatial data within an enterprise GIS implementation
Aid in the maintenance of the geodatabase
Qualities:
Eager to learn new technology and integrate existing skills within a new industry
An active and collaborative team member
An above-average communicator, comfortable with technical writing, as well as public speaking
Highly organized and able to maintain several projects at one time
Possess a desire to immerse yourself in location-based problem solving to support our client’s missions

The following are requirements of the potential candidate:
Bachelor's degree
4 years of experience with the use and administration of Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop and Server solutions
Experience with GIS data development in an enterprise environment
Experience integrating enterprise geospatial applications into new and existing business processes
Familiarity with administrating and configuring web mapping applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
Experience with Story Maps and Dashboards
Experience gathering requirements for applications from users of geospatial information
US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
Desire and ability to relocate to Japan
Preferred: Active US DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred: Active CompTIA Security+ certification
The following are desired capabilities and experience of the potential candidate:
M.S. degree in a Scientific or Technical discipline
Experience with and knowledge of advanced relational database concepts
Experience providing formal and informal technical training
Experience with DoD IGI&S Programs
Experience with AutoCAD Map 3D
Experience with Trimble's resource/mapping and survey-grade GPS solutions
Knowledge of SDSFIE
