TERRA Engineering, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Sr. GIS Analyst who is proficient in data creation and maintenance of GIS data. Capable of fulfilling map and data requests, creating and editing coverages, shapefiles, geodatabases, applying custom application programs for editing, mapping and analyzing data. This position is hybrid with the expectation to report to either our Peoria or Chicago, IL, or our St. Louis, MO office, 2 times a week. You Will:
-Utilize GIS Software (ESRI’s Arc GIS Desktop, Arc IMS and Arc Pad) to produce GIS maps for field crews and presentations
-Assist field crews in field locating test locations and locating applicable stations for traffic count data
Integrate GPS data into GIS applications using data collected from Arc Pad and other GPS formats
-Prepare GIS layers, datasets, and applications for applicable internal departments, local municipalities, and other government organizations
-Prepare related metadata and customized GIS interfaces
Perform special studies and analyses of various operations to define problems and determine methods of adapting GIS applications
-Perform a variety of administrative activities in support of various company operations including setting up and updating GIS related activity budgets; ordering equipment; reviewing invoices for accuracy; writing grants; preparing administrative and service contracts
-Research a variety of data, prepare reports, maps and cartographic products
-Maintain and update a variety of digital information, implementing QA/QC procedures and standards for data storage and project processes
-Complete other duties as required by Project Managers or Department Managers

You Have:
-B.S. in Geographic Information System or related field; Master’s Degree in GIS preferred
-5-7 years of experience as a GIS Analyst
-2-3 years of project coordination and client interface
-Computer skills and knowledge in ESRI’S Arc GIS Desktop, --Arc IMS, Arc Pad, SQL, Python, and other related software is required
-Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, specifically ---Excel spreadsheets
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Legal authorization to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship at any time.
