We are seeking an experienced GIS Manager to join our client’s team in Orlando, FL. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with benefits.

Job Description:
The GIS Manager will lead a team of GIS Technicians and oversee all geospatial data activities related to telecom, utilities, and civil construction projects. This role requires managing GIS data, ensuring quality control, coordinating the team, and defining strategic goals for the GIS department. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and experience leading GIS teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and guide the work of GIS Technicians, including the conversion of ESRI files to CAD, map creation, data analysis, and data accuracy assurance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align GIS tasks with project goals and timelines, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
• Develop and implement GIS policies, procedures, and technology standards to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Maintain overall responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of all GIS data sets, working with team members to resolve any discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the GIS team, ensuring they stay current with emerging GIS technologies and trends in the civil construction and utilities sectors.
• Oversee the management and updating of GIS databases and associated software systems.
• Create strategies for the growth, technical advancement, and integration of the GIS department within broader company initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations relating to GIS data and practices.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in GIS, with leadership experience in telecom, civil construction or utility industry preferred.
• Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online – experience with AutoCAD a plus
• Demonstrated experience managing teams and leading complex GIS projects.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
