The New York State Office of Renewable Energy Siting (NYS Department of State) is seeking a Renewable Energy Siting Specialist with two or more years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) who is eager to work in a fast-paced environment supporting the Office’s subject matter experts and legal counsel with spatial analysis, cartography, mobile GIS, and development web-based mapping applications. The preferred candidate should have experience using GIS to review large-scale renewable energy projects in one or more of the following disciplines: cultural resources, forest ecology, wildlife ecology, visual impact analysis, planning, zoning, or land use.
