We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a GeoBase Administrator to be a part of our team delivering Installation Geospatial Information and Services support to the United States Air Force Pacific Command (PACAF). The position is at Eielson Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska. The GeoBase Administrator is responsible for specialized technical and analytical geospatial assistance that will support the maintenance of an Enterprise GIS. They will support data development, SDSFIE standards integration, and quality verification processes. They will assist in maintaining geospatial data in an enterprise GIS implementation, aid in the maintenance of the geodatabase, and apply technical and programmatic knowledge of GIS.
The candidate will execute the responsibilities of a GeoBase Administrator, which include:

•Implementing proven IT/GIS strategies for platform architecture
•Experience with high availability systems and troubleshooting platform issues
•Designing architecture solutions to support multiple systems feeding data into ArcGIS Enterprise
•Understanding of ArcGIS Enterprise scaling and implications
•Designing and implementing configuration solutions to meet day-to-day operations and special events.
•Working closely and actively with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS enterprise platform
•Utilizing ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro
•Utilizing Virtual Machine infrastructure and management and acting as the local Administrator for GeoBase servers
•Collaborate with Air Force personnel to develop solutions towards the completion of map products and sustaining a robust GIS
•Manage GIS web map viewer, and associated ArcGIS Server services
•Meeting with stakeholders to gather and manage requirements to customize GIS products for their evolving needs

The following are requirements of the potential candidate:

•Bachelor’s or master’s in geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field
•3 years of experience with the use and administration of Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop and Server solutions
•Experience with GIS data development in an enterprise environment
•Experience integrating enterprise geospatial applications into new and existing business processes
•Familiarity with administrating and configuring web mapping applications using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
•Experience gathering requirements for applications from users of geospatial information
•Experience providing formal and informal training
•US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
•Preferred: Active US DoD Secret Clearance
•Preferred: Active CompTIA Security+ certification

The following are desired capabilities and experience of the potential candidate:

•Experience with and knowledge of advanced relational database concepts
•Experience providing formal and informal technical training.
•Experience with the USAF GeoBase Program
•Experience with AutoCAD Map 3D
•Experience with Trimble's resource/mapping and survey grade GPS solutions
• Knowledge of SDSFIE
•Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems
•Excellent writing and communication skills
