We are a talented, hardworking group that share values and characteristics that drive client, professional, and personal success. geocgi is looking for a Sr. GIS Analyst to be a part of our team delivering Installation Geospatial Information and Services support to the United States Marine Corps (USMC). The position is full-time and on-site at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Butler in Okinawa, Japan. The Sr. GIS Analyst is responsible for specialized technical and analytical geospatial assistance that will support the maintenance of an Enterprise GIS. The candidate will support data development, SDSFIE standards integration, and quality verification processes. They will assist in maintaining geospatial data in an enterprise GIS implementation, aid in the maintenance of the geodatabase, and apply technical and programmatic knowledge of GIS.

The following are requirements of the potential Sr. GIS Analyst:
•US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
•Bachelor’s or master’s in geography, computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
•7+ years of experience in GIS with cartographic, analyst, editor, database, or similar duties
•2+ years of experience in project management and knowledge in geospatial data management, planning, surveys, spatial analysis, geospatial system administration and technical support
•Experienced and knowledge in the implementation of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE).
•Experience with GIS data development in a multi-user/enterprise environment
•Experience with Global Positioning System (GPS) data collection process; field data collection methods, survey techniques and knowledge of accuracy standards.
•Expert user of ESRI’s ArcGIS software suite. Able to provide expert analytical skills and mentor and train MCIPAC staff.
•Knowledge and experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and Server-side software products: particularly the ability to manage a shared, multiuser geodatabase, as well as support for version-based GIS workflows involving simultaneous multiuser editing, distributed geodatabases, and historical archiving.
•Able and willing to perform fieldwork and travel via military transportation.
•Ability to work independently and proactively to take initiative to solve complex problems.
•Excellent writing and communication skills.
•Preferred: Active US DoD Secret Clearance
•Preferred: Active CompTIA Security+ certification
•Preferred: Administrator-level experience using ArcGIS Enterprise with MS SQL Server RDBMS for data collection, maintenance, and editing processes to provide expert opinion and make effective recommendations.
